Day seven we woke up in western South Dakota and headed out to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.
Crazy Horse was first, as disappointing as I expected. It didn't help that it was a gray day either.
Then we headed over to Mount Rushmore but we couldn't stop. Starting several miles down the road cars were parked on the shoulders and people were walking. Apparently there was a big fireworks show that night (who would have thought on the 3RD of July!) I did snap one picture as we drove by.
Since we didn't get a chance to stop at Mount Rushmore we stopped at a cheesy drive-thru animal park, Bear Country USA (at least they had a penny smushing machine!)
And BEARS!!!
