Nikon Macros

My wonderful friend Jodi let me borrow her Nikon D700 and 105mm micro lens at Longwood on Saturday. It was really fun to play around with a new system. Honestly if I had the money I would probably keep both a Canon and Nikon full frame camera, and lenses.

Overall I would say I could be really happy with either system. I didn't find the Nikon easier to use, but I also think it wouldn't take me long to get the controls down. That camera body/lens combo did weigh a bit more than the Canon equivalent.

The purples are so rich! I'd love to see some before & after to check out your PP.

Michele - these are amazing. And I know I've told you this already - you take better macros with my camera than I do! You are most definitely proof that it is so much more about the photographer than the equipment!

Those came out so great! (I'm way behind on my actual blog commenting, so beware of all the comments you are about to get). I find it so cool that I see what a strong influence you are on me, 'cause one of those shots (the flower w/ multiple purple blooms against the green background) I have a similar composition, etc. =D
