Our final stop on the Ring of Kerry was Ross Castle. Part of why I wanted to stop was just the name (my maiden name was Ross) but it also looked interesting. It turned out to be a good choice. Again we caught the last tour of the day. It's another tower house like Blarney Castle however this one has been rebuilt to how it would have looked when it was occupied. Of course this means no photos on the inside. But it was a great tour. Very informative, loved out tour guide and there were only four of us on the tour.
Definitely worth a stop if you can fit it in. After that we headed back to town and out to dinner. Mike had shepards pie and I had fish and chips. Mike said this was his favorite dinner of the trip.
