If I had any doubts left about our house being a sears home they are gone now. The painters are taking down some of the trim to put up wainscoting in the entry hall and they are storing the pieces in the basement. I was down there looking for a wrench to take apart our table and I saw this on the back of one of the pieces:
It says right on there Sears, Roebuck and Co.

Wow, that is amazing. I love seeing little pieces of history like that. Are they putting new molding up? If so, don't get rid of that piece. You could cut it down and frame it or do something crafty with it!
@ anonymous - we do plan to buy one of those books and then frame a copy of the page about our house.
@Tacha - They are actually going to put that moulding back up, I couldn't bear the though of not having the 4" baseboards in the entry, even with the wainscoting.
