Semi-DIY

This past weekend one of our projects was to finally get shades up in the office (we had to yank down the ugly ones that came with the room, yuck). I wanted to do roman shades, we looked around and eventually found some we liked in the slightly odd sizes we needed. However I wanted to dress them up a little. I bought some 7/8" black grosgrain ribbon, and used the sewing machine to attach them to the shades, with Mike's help.

We both really love how they turned out!


It really added a lot to the shades, which is great since I didn't want to add any other window treatments in the office.
