Day 6: Luxor West Bank Part 1

We awoke on our sixth full day in Egypt to find that our cruise ship had docked at our last stop, Luxor!



The first day we saw some of the major sites on the West Bank of Luxor. Our first stop was the Colossi of Memnon.









Our next stop was the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.




You could see these tombs up in the hills (this is right next to the valley of the kings, though these aren't those tombs).







This temple had some amazing color left

After that we headed over to the Valley of the Kings, but we were not allowed to take cameras in. We went in 4 tombs total, Ramses I, III, IX and King Tut. Our guide showed us a cool website the next day that shows you virtual tours of the tombs if you want to see what the tombs looked like.
